Referring to the history of HaftRengo village in the production of dates, he added: Since this village is known as the pole of digestion in Qeshm, one of the goals of this plan is to revive and teach how to plant and harvest seven different species of palm to the inhabitants of this village.
The director of the JICA project at the Qeshm Free Zone Organization continued: Providing space for the introduction and sale of food products and handicrafts of villagers, holding student camps, introducing and training native-local games, creating recreational space to fill the leisure time of the people of the region and tourists, is another achievement of the construction of this traditional garden.
*Promoting tourism attraction by relying on marketing and increasing welfare services
Ebrahim Pasban, Managing Director of the Cooperative of Revival Project of the Badgir Traditional Garden of HaftRengo Village, referred to the most important activities of the project for the period of Nowruz, said: Marketing and advertising for better attract domestic and foreign tourists, the establishment of a traditional restaurant for the most welfare to tourists, the development of the indigenous sector, and residental Gazebos are one of our future plans for this project.
According to him, seven types of palm trees have been planted in this garden.
Mr. Pasban mentioned the construction of a Warehouse and added a section as a handicraft exhibition in order to preserve and introduce the indigenous capacities of this region, adding: Planting 100 trees in the Badgir traditional garden of HaftRengo village is only part of the purpose of the project, and with the expansion of tree planting and green space of the garden, we try to bring this village back to its peak of gardening.
This young and motivated CEO continued: In the development plan, we have activities such as traditional livestock, ostrich breeding, and the allocation of space as a garden of birds.
It is worth mentioning that, in pursuit of a comprehensive and sustainable development plan in Qeshm Island, 10 rural pilot projects with a credit of 300 thousand dollars were started by the JICA team in cooperation with the Qeshm Free Zone Organization since 1394.
