According to Public Relations and International Affairs of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, Mansour Azad said: The Petroleum Reference Laboratory is set up in line with a trilateral agreement between Iranian Oil Testing & Consulting Co., Research Institute of Petroleum Industry and the Qeshm Institute of Higher Education, with the support of the Ministry of Oil, which was Signing at the end of June at the country's Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran.
He added: The Oil Reference Laboratory, with a 160 billion rials investment from Iranian Oil Testing & Consulting Co., is currently in the final stages of launch, and the Qeshm Institute of Higher Education is responsible of supporting and supplying the indigenous human resources needed by the laboratory.
With the launch of this lab, all tests related to the quality analysis of petroleum, gas, and petrochemical products and products in the south of the country can be conducted in Qeshm.
Referring to other goals of setting up this laboratory, Azad said: Preparation of cosmetics, research, and training packages, in accordance with national and international standards, is another goal of this lab. It is also part of the contract's commitment to deliver training courses for manpower required by the oil and gas industry.
Referring to Qeshm Free Zone Organization policies for employment, he said: The development of the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries is one of the main economic development strategies on Qeshm Island that is not possible without infrastructure, and expanding the energy and construction activities of this laboratory can be greatly transition enhance the sustainable employment development on the island.
It is worth mentioning that there are currently 17 hydrocarbon fields in Qeshm Island, of which 2 are located inside the island, near the villages Salakh and Gavarzin.
