According to Public Relations and International Affairs of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, Abdol Javad Kamali, along with Nozar Mozafarinejad, former director of Equestrian Federation and top rider of the country, visited the Equestrianism site of the village of Gavarzin, said: Qeshm Free Zone Organization has allocated 400 hectares of land for Equestrianism (horseback riding and camel rides) in the village of Gavarzin.
He expressed people of Island's interest in riding sports, adding: In the first stage of implementation of this project, the Equestrianism school will be created in a three hectares area in the village of Gavarzin, Qeshm Island.
The Deputy of Culture, Social and Tourism of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, referred to Equestrianism as one of the entertaining sports of special people, and declared: With the launch of the Equestrianism site in Qeshm, Qeshm, because of its close proximity to the Gulf states, can be the venue for national and international competitions for this professional sport.
He referred to visit of former director of Equestrian Federation from Qeshm Equestrianism site, saying: It was supposed to spend a lot of young people of Qeshm, under the supervision of Mozafarinejad, training courses at the main clubs of the country.
According to Kamali, the people who take part in Equestrianism courses, after the launch of the Equestrianism School and site of Gavarzin Village, will serve as coaches in this complex.
Qeshm Island, with its major tourist attractions, is located in southern Iran. The creation of a maritime, aerial, and ground sport site on the island over the past two years has led to an increase in the travel of tourists to Qeshm. And launching a Equestrianism site in the village of Gavarzin will also play an important role in promoting the number of tourists.
